Kabiesi Oba Adebayo Adesanmi came to this world over five decades ago to the family of the late prince Adesanmi Ademeso.
Kabiesi had his primary education at home. He began the quest for western education early in life at Ansar-Ud-Deen primary school, Ogotun Ekiti, before moving to St Paul’s (now St Bartholomew) primary school, Ogotun Ekiti in the early 1970s. He was to complete the primary education at St Thomas primary school, Ogotun Ekiti 1979 and immediately gained admission to Ogotun high school, Ogotun Ekiti for his secondary education, which he completed in 1984.
He later gained admission to the famous Obafemi Awolowo university,ile ife and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Microbiology in 1995.
After his national service at government secondary school, Gamawa, Bauchi State, he returned to his alma mater for a professional training in Medical laboratory.
With the professional qualification at hand, he secured employment with the Ekiti State Hospitals Management Board and was posted to Ijero-Ekiti General Hospitals as a Medical Laboratory Officer.
By dint of his professional training and demonstration of competence and leadership qualities, the management made him the head of the Medical Laboratory department of the general hospital, a position he held till 2008.
However , within this period, precisely from 2000-2005, he served as a lecturer at the College of Health Science and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti. Again, he was made the head of the medical laboratory department of the institution.
In 2008, he was transferred to Aramoko-Ekiti as the head of the medical laboratory department of the General Hospital in the community, a position he held until 2014 when his employer asked him to proceed to Ikere-Ekiti as the head of the medical laboratory department of the State Specialist Hospital in the town.

In 2017, he became the head of the Medical Laboratory department of Oba Adejugbe General Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
In 2018, the Ekiti State Hospitals Management Board, Ado Ekiti promoted him to the position of Director of Medical Laboratory Services On GL16.

Kabiesi Adebayo Adesanmi is a highly trained professional in his choosen career. In 2000, he was inducted as an Associate of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. And in 2008, he was inducted as a fellow of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (Hematology and Blood Transfusion Science).
It was from his duty post as the serving Director of Medical Laboratory Services in Ekiti State that he was called upon to ascend to the throne of his forefathers.He was first nominated as one of the eligible princes by the elders in the Ojopekun ruling House. The nomination was subsequently accepted and ratified by the kingmakers on 10th March, 2022.
His appointment was approved by the Ekiti State Executive council on 18th May 2022, the same day the late Oba Samuel Oyebade was also approved by Ondo State Government in 1985.The instrument of office was presented to him on 2nd June, 2022.
As mentioned on the history page, the history of Ogotun has not been fully reduced into writing. It is still basically oral, based on legends, praise song, etc. Hence the list of past Ologotuns as contained here cannot be said to be perfect.
The incumbent, Kabiesi Adebayo Adesanmi is the 32nd, but the names of some of the past rulers are not available and dates cannot be quoted.
From ojorube, the founder of Ogotun and the first Ologotun to the 21st Okinbaloye, there was only one ruling house. But from Aruka the ruling house increased and today there are four ruling houses made up of Arakale, Ogbenuote, Ojopekun and Otutubiosun.
